Wow! What an accomplishment Michelle! Isn't it exciting to know that however your female (I prefer "feminine"!) character evolves or whichever path her destiny takes, she is already living in your imagination and in your novel. As your faithful Obsessed follower and after reading this week's essay 40 000 words, I can say that I already feel acquainted with your character. She is alive!! Thank you for introducing her to us. I am looking forward to getting to know her better. "Baby footsteps"!!

Bravo!! 40,000 words is a loooot..a lot of thinking, creating, researching, writing. You've done already the big part. Look what I've seen on google:

"story that is over 40,000 words is generally considered a novel. However, it will be on the short side, as the average length of a novel hovers around 50,000-70,000 words. That said, if your book is around 40,000 words, you're in good company.7 févr. 2023"

Good luck for the rest. You can do it.

Thank you Carole!! I almost didn't celebrate or mention it, because the novel isn't finished and why celebrate something that isn't complete? But it's true that 40K is a lot, and it's 40K more than I had in October! Good for me! lol
